This is my 18 year old cat Harvey. He has slowed down quite a bit and lost a great deal of weight. His breathing to me looks heavy and I worry if he is in pain. He still eats and drinks and uses litter box as usual. But I can’t tell if he is in pain. It breaks my heart to think I am being selfish by keeping him around and if he is dying I wish it would happen at home that he has known his whole life instead of stressing him out with a visit to the vet. I am new to all this and I have a powerful bond to my cat. I hope that some of you can put me on the best path possible. Thank you for helping.
